Right or Responsibility?
How do digital citizens show responsibility? What digital rights do you have?
Although as a technology user you have many rights, you have an extreme amount of responsibility as well. This page will inform you of the many rights and responsibilities you have as well as an acceptable use policy that you and you child must agree to before using any school district technology.
Rights:
-equal use to all technology
-freedom of speech
-accessing information on the Internet
-use of school computers for educational assignments
-use of technology as communication
Responsibilities:
-citing all information (citationmachine.net)
-give credit to the owner of the information you are using
-using school computers for education only
-protect school and home computers by not downloading illegal information
-do not display personal information
-report others who are not using technology responsibly
-use technology in a safe manner
-do not put others in harm in a physical way or share their personal information
